Art Folder
Description: Create a folder by taping two sheets of paper, to store projects inside. On the front side, draw the first letter of your last name bubble-letter style, then split the letter up into 7 sections, and decorate each section as an element of art. At the bottom, write your name and the section of the class.
Rationale: I learned to create a folder using the seven elements of art in a way that's repeatable for students

Description: Create a still life drawing using graphite and at least 3 different shapes as frames. Providing 3 different perspectives of the still life, one in each frame
Rationale: I showed my knowledge in perspective, shading, and lines.

Description: Paint your own experience of how COVID-19 collectively affected you.
Rationale: Demonstrated knowledge of acrylic paint and painting techniques.

Ceramic tile
Description: Create a 6x6 ceramic tile containing 3 layers that build up to create a scene/story.
Rationale: Express knowledge of ceramics such as slip and scoring, adding, subtracting and adding glaze.

Description: Create a children's book with team of art and music students. The music team was in charge of the writing and research portion, and the art team was in charge of illustration.
Rationale: We learned how to plan illustrations ahead of time, team work with people in different majors, and learned how to combine art styles into one cohesive piece for a final completed result.

Description: My main plan for the lesson plan was for students to create a 20 x 16 pop art project that in itself is divided into 6 equal sections and copy an object onto each section. Using different colors.
Rationale: This will help students familiarize themselves with an important era of art as well as give them practice using primary, secondary and complimentary colors.

PROFESSIONALISM, ADVOCACY & LEADERSHIP: PAL 1 (1 submission) 7G: understands the need for continuing study, self-evaluation, and professional growth.
Description: For this I visited the University Galleries in Bloomington-Normal and looked at Nazafarin Lotfi’s exhibition, ‘A Garden to Build’.
Rationale: I was able to analyze her work and apply certain approaches to my own work.

PROFESSIONALISM, ADVOCACY & LEADERSHIP: PAL 2 (1 submission) 7N: advances his or her knowledge of current developments in the field by participating in professional development activities (e.g., coursework, professional organizations, and workshops).
Description: The book collaboration where we worked with art and music students to develop a children's book about music and diversity. The music team wrote and did research and the art team illustrated.
